 Rafting on the Dunajec

 


Flowing across the Pieniny Właściwe, the Dunajec meanders widely through the deep valley whose sides reach 300m in height. The trip starts at the rafting stand in Kąty (Sromowce Wyżne). Within two to three hours the raft covers an 18-kilometre route to Szczawnice or 23 kilometres to Krościenko.

The car park is situated before the rafting stand. Tourists can, at additional charge, take a return trip via bus with their rafting guides.


 

Rafting on the Poprad

 


Emptying into the Dunajec near Stary Sącz, the Poprad meanders scenically between the Radziejowa and Jaworzyna range. The distance of 10km between Piwniczna-Zdrój and Rytro is covered within 1.5 – 2 hours on a flat boat steered by two rafters by means of wooden poles. After rafting, you can venture to investigate the ruins of a castle situated in Rytro.

The rafting stand in Piwnicza is located underneath the suspension bridge. For additional fare you can return to Piwniczna via bus with the rafters.


 

 Boating on the Vistula 

 


Voyaging by boat you can admire, among other things, the Wawel Hill, the St. Norbert convent, or Kościuszko Mound. Those willing to travel longer can enjoy a 3-hour cruise to Tyniec. You can also catch a water tram running from the Salwador district to Tyniec and other locales.

 Boating on the Czorsztyńskie Lake 

 


 

From the lake you can admire not only the picturesque mountains, but also the ruins of the Czorsztyński castle and the renovated residence in Niedzica while listening to the guide’s passionate tales about the history and legends of the region. Excursion cruises, which start from the castle in Niedzica, take less than an hour, so even toddlers will manage to stay attentive.

The car park is situated by the box offices.



 

Rożnowskie Lake 

 


 

Tourists can set off on a cruise from Bartkowa or Gródek nad Dunajcem. The route takes you, among other places, through the narrow, lower part of the lake, which is particularly picturesque thanks to the enchanting landscape featuring steep forested slopes and flooded valley meanders.
